At the convergence of three mountain ranges, Swan Valley, Idaho offers a multitude of recreational opportunities for the sportsman, including access to the famous South Fork of the Snake River, one of the premier fly fisheries in North America. The Big Hole Range is to the north, Caribou Mountains to the south and the Palisades Ranges to the east. Swan Valley is a haven for those seeking large tracts of land with sweeping panoramas of mountains, rivers and pastures and high adventure right out the back door, including snowmobiling, fishing, horsepacking and hunting. The area is home to elk, deer, moose, bear, mountain lions, mountain goats, bald eagles and wintering swans. Also nearby is the Palisades Reservoir, known for its boating activities in the summer and ice fishing in the winter.
